Last Sunday, 4 March, at the Circuit of Monza it was the German-style SpeedDay . The day of this event every german-car can run into the circuit for 1 hour and pay only 30 minutes (40,00 €). With other 30,00 € is possible have at your side for 30 minutes a professional racing-driver: I have explain to him that I did'nt run into the circuit since 1989, wehn I had my Alfa Romeo GTV, and because of this He was a little worried, wehn He sit down on the passenger place on my 996...

I live in Dallas, near the Ruf Auto Centre. About two weeks ago that had this car. It is custom built by Studiotorino in Turin. The engine is a Ruf supercharged 3.8 litre with over 440 bhp. Notice it doesnt have a door handle. You open the door with a button on the side mirror.
They also built a RK Spyder.

Control your tires! Sep. 30th, 2006 @ 06:10 pm
muggio
I have acquired my 996 C4 in june 2004: the vendor had guaranteed to me that the tires were new. I know that this type of tires have limited duration (2 years), and that between little time I would have had to replace them.
At the end of August I was driving on the freeway Genoa - Milan to approximately 265 Km/h and, without warning, the car began derapage towards the external side of one a skillful curve, with a strong noise and one strongest vibration. I succeeded to maintain the car in road, and to stop me to the service station after 1 km. An outrider strip had been detached from the left posterior tire, and was "spanking" catalyst and mudguard.

I did'nt knew, and now I know, that every tire has written on his side an acronym that says week and year of production: on the tires Bridgestone of my car is written "26 01"!!! 5 years old!
My 996 is in garage from one month, in the wait of having the money to change its shoes.
I say thanks to the Gods for to be still alive, and I say to everyone: control immediately the age of your tires, and remember that the tires for high speed must be replaced after 2 years, independently from the km covered!
Sorry for my bad language.
